No doubt.
I’d add this: In the modern era, Republicans got gun religion (wanting many, many more in many, many more white hands) when Governor Reagan and his crowd were emotionally stripped bare as Mr Newton and Mr Seale showed they knew their way around rifles, and more importantly, their rhetorical and organisational ability.

The qiuckest way to get gun control and reform legislation on the books is for black people to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in large numbers…

I know a few black gun owners, my son among them, none feels welcome in the NRA, of course.
I also think you know that African-Americans are not going to be, now, a huge market for manufacturers, or will Hispanics be any time soon, no more than each of these demographics have been.
