No parsing intended…The observation was in furtherance of your thought that Anne Frank might well have been a contemporary journalst….
Howeve, I do sense a kind of reluctance on the part of today’s reporters to articulate the obvious comparisons and parallels in the historical context that would have been Anne Frank’s time….

Yes, there are parallels, and those parallels should not have a place in this country. This isn’t to say one equals the other, just that one shares important characteristics with the other.
