“I would like you to do us a favor…”

In his post on the release of the Summary of the telepbone conversation between Trump and the newly elected president of Ukraine, Jonathan Wolfman reminds us that:

  “…  the red line is not an explicit quid pro quo…it is the ASK.…”

The Summarised Phone Call Transcript-The Violation is the ASK

Both the Summary and the Transcript include the following sentence:

“I would like you to do us a favor…”

Re the summary and the transcript, Trump managed to commit five impeachable offenses in one sentence:

1. Threaten to misuse funds appropriated by congress;

2. Extort from a foreign head of state;

3.  Solicit an intervention in the American political process by a foreign power;

4.  Conspire with a foreign head of state to violate the civil liberties of US citizens;

5.  Soliciting a foreign head of state to .influence the American political and electoral process by initiating an illicit investigatory and/or prosecutory. process against said persons in that foreign country.

So,  here’s the question:

Should the House inquiry on impeachment and subsequent articles of impeachment be limited to this particular incident, or should the full catalogue of Impeachable offenses be included in the House resolution to impeach?
