Progressives’ Fascist-Analysis to the Point of Harm
I become concerned when progressives analyse fascists’ moves to a point of harm, where what matters are their takes on each, separate, deliberately steamrolled insult to
democracy
so that by the time they fashion pithily refined version-umpteen, wasting thought, energy
and not subverting illegitimacy itself and in too many instances
expecting applause for it all
they look up surprised that detention wires don’t clap.

I think you are confusing true “progressives” (which is a label that rightful belongs to the true left, but has been co-opted by the centrists) with the limousine liberals who are firmly hold the center while doing just as you describe (I call them the “supp’ed with Maddy Albright” crowd.)

In my experience Progressives (as you mean the term) are those who so over-analyse; the Limo-Libs tend to be above such angst.
