Strapped to Their Frayed, Forlorn Belts

Long ago, numbers of kids killed themselves playing in unsafe, abandoned refrigerators.
Laws were passed requiring refrigerator manufactures to make safer refrigerators.
Laws were passed requiring consumers to dispose old refrigerators safely.
At no point did the National Refrigerator Association try to stop these sensible, child-protection moves.
Now, our children don’t die in refrigerators. 
And, sadly, Hopeless, Tiny Fellas cannot strap Frigidaires to their frayed, forlorn belts.
