Trump, Obama and, Newton’s Third Law

Isaac Newton’s third law of motion may be stated as follows:

“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

“As described by the third of Newton’s laws of motion of classical mechanics, all forces occur in pairs such that if one object exerts a force on another object, then the second object exerts an equal and opposite reaction force on the first.

The terms ‘action’ and ‘reaction’ have the misleading suggestion of causality, as if the ‘action’ is the cause and ‘reaction’ is the effect. It is therefore easy to think of the second force as being there because of the first, and even happening some time after the first. This is incorrect; the forces are perfectly simultaneous, and are there for the same reason.”

Obama and Trump are not opposites nor are they, or the effect they have on American politics and political system, equal.

Suggesting that they are somehow equal opposites is a false equivalency of the highest magnitude.

It is in this regard that the 2016 election of Trump must not be considered or perceived as a reaction to the election and presidency of Obama.

Each occurrence is a unique and independent social and political phenomenon that may be seen in stark contrast to one another but never as equal and opposite of one another….

Newton’s third law is an immutable postulate of classical mechanics and physics, but the laws of physics and mechanics do not apply to political and social phenomena or systems…

Trump is a reflection or manifestation of who and what this country is, AND, who and what this country has ostensibly progressed beyond as a society.

Obama is also a reflection and manifestation of who and what this country is. However, Obama’s election and presidency is a reflection of who and what this country has the potential to become.

The United States of America is an ambivalent and conflcted, ‘Jekyll and Hyde’, social and political entity that may be likened to an individual who suffers from a bipolar personality disorder…

So, here’s the question:

Is this condition permanent, or can it be cured?
