A Girl and Her Uzi

Army veteran and gun instructor, Charles Vacca, shy of forty, was shot in the head and killed as he trained a student at an Arizona range by the Nevada line.  The identity of his student was a nine-year-old girl; her name hasn’t been released. Their weapon of choice was an Uzi automatic. When the child fired the recoil pitched the Uzi over her head. Also unreleased, and what will likely never be released, is her life.  The range owner allows that instructor and student deaths are rare and stresses that the child’s parents had signed a waiver.  The range is called Last Stop.
