A Single Indiscretion and Gone!
A doctor acquaintance, after seven years of medical training and the start of a promising practice, has been cashiered for a single, indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and now he’s been drummed out of his calling after all the study, all the fine work. One error of judgment and…Gone. He’s a decent sort and, if not for the infraction, certainly would have carried on for decades as a brilliant, trusted veterinarian.

I had a problem like that with the vet my family used when I was growing up in suburban NY. Some guy had an affair with the vet’s wife and for some reason drove up to his house to see him. All the vet did was meet him with a shotgun and kill him and his career went down the tubes.
