Is a brief BindleSnitch Status Report in Order?
A status report re the migration to BindleSnitch; readership; the monetization and financials, etc
And, anything else that comes to mind…
A brief post on the matter is what I have in mind…

This site is not a co-op, even if, as w all businesses, it relies on users/consumers. While any of these questions no doubt have interesting answers, as a non-owner here I’ve no reason to know the site’s financials. As to readership, pretty much all we need know is in plain view. I don’t see the issue; were the place to disappear, all I’d need to know is that, I, myself, have saved my posts and have plans for them. If/When Alan and Robert think it’s in the site’s interest to share that stuff, ok w me.

Isn’t there enough snooping in the world already?

I can’t speak for Ron, but I’m guessing he is referencing this:
“The Details of the Compensation Plan
BindleSnitch will publish the per-view rate on the tenth day of the following month as part of a public monthly report to the membership. The report will include a summary of income and expenses, and the calculations we used to determine the per view rate. These financial reports will be available to all registered members. Annual audits will also be posted.”

Why demand this prior top the date?

Why not trust that they’ll do that?

Several things:
This is not the right place to be having this discussion. If you want to address questions about Bindlesnitch itself, please go to your profile page and send us a private message.
Notwithstanding Jonathan’s answers, which are quite accurate, we have every intention of sharing financials when there is anything to share. We recently lost Amazon as an advertiser. because one of their requirements is that we delete content from the site that is more than 60 days old. There were several other conditions that we couldn’t meet. We may revisit that question down the road because Amazon is a great advertising source, but it is what it is.
In addition, I am wondering if you have ever actually visited the About Us section, which has a lot of information about Bindlesnitch and what we are trying to do here.

The inquiry is about the inducement to migrate as part of the overall package…
A simple “nothing to report” wold suffice…
I sent a PM first, waited a day or two, and, to my knowldge, I got no reply…

Greg, are you one of the owners/editors/admins here? As part of some sort of a Status Report would it be possible to have the PTB introduce themselves to us proles?
BTW, I think most of the new “joinees” from Our Salon/Open Salon days know Alan, but could you please let us know who you are before starting with the royal “We”s? LOL
