A Brief Subject Matter Inventory
Need something meaningful to write about?
Here’s a brief Inventory of issues currently occupying most of contemporary journalistic space:
Putin’s War
The Pandemic
Overturning of Roe v Wade
Climate Change and Global Warming
Reformation of police policies, practices, procedures, and protocols
Voting Rights
Inflation
Income and Wealth disparities
The Jan 6 insurrection
The Jan 6 congressional investigative committee
The spread of authoritarianism
Internet misinformation and disinformation
I didn’t mention racism in America because there’s a racial aspect or component to virtually everything that can be identified for inclusion in this inventory…

I don’t have too much to say about most of these at the moment though I appreciate the list. I’ve said my piece on Putin, though he’s more evil than I gave him credit for, and I don’t have much to add. I think I’ve written about the pandemic, it’s been a while. I’m the king of the income and wealth disparities piece. I’ve written relatively recently on internet misinformation and disinformation. It’s not that I don’t think these are important topics, it’s that at the moment I don’t think I have all that much of value to add to the conversation here. I could tell you that a lot of inflation is, at least this time around, due to profiteering. I’m not sure how many ideas I have about the police other than to point out yet again that we ought to be correcting the judiciary because that’s where police guidelines and incentives come from – if prosecutors refuse to prosecute police officers who actually engage in criminal activity, of course we’re going to see more abuse. I suppose I could write a piece asking why a lot of people demonize unarmed Black victims of police killings given that it’s just as illegal to kill a bad unarmed man as a good one, but it would be awfully short.
At the moment I have to fins something interesting to say. I don’t want to state the obvious.
I suppose

The list is not exhaustive, or ranked, or prioritized in any way.
It’s a manifestation of what we are tasked with contemplating even as we grapple with the slings and arrows we face during the course of our personal lives on a daily basis….

Ron, I think that bio is running a little long. The space available for the bio is approximately 90 to 100 words or between 600 and 700 characters.
