DID RUDY GIULIANI VIOLATE THE LOGAN ACT?
Rudy Giuliani is the president’s personal attorney. He is not an employee of the federal government and, as Donald Trump’s private attorney, he has no legal right to meet with foreign leaders on behalf of the federal government or the president of the United States, nor any right to deliver or bring back messages to or from foreign leaders.
This is a prima fascia violation of the Logan Act. If Giuliani decided to make these trips to Ukraine on his own, he is alone in violating the Logan Act. If Donald Trump SENT him on these errands, they are both guilty of violating the Logan act…and that IS an impeachable offense.
I know what you’re thinking. Of course, the president has the right to send his wife, his daughter, his sons in law, or anyone else he chooses to meet with anyone he chooses. As the CEO of Trump Enterprises, he has that right. As the president of the United States, he does not have that right.

The Trump strategy on such occurrences:
Admit you did it in another context, then deny that it ever happened while using the occrence as a hypothetical by saying that, “Even if it did happen, it wasn’t against the law because nothing happened.”
Then, declare the report of the occurrence to be “fake news”, and the law that prohibits the behavior to be invalid or not applicable.

Jimmy Breslin referred to Giuliani as a small man in search of a balcony. While in prison they are called tiers, we can hope that he will get his.
