You will notice that the sizes of the images on the left hand column of the home page have been increased.
This was made necessary by a formatting problem on the mobile version of the website. At the former size of the featured images, the headlines were wrapping around the featured image, which trashed the home page design on mobile platforms. That has now been corrected by increasing the size of the featured image.
We will be increasing the number of items in the sidebar to compensate.
If you cannot find the excerpt box, you can turn it on by going to the Screen Options tab at the top right hand corner of the screen, right under your screen name.
Open the Screen Options and make sure the Excerpts is checked off. If it is not checked off, click on the box to turn it on. You should only have to do this once. Note that all of the options in the Screen Options Box must be turned on in order for the system to operate properly.
Also note that the Excerpt box may pop up in the right hand column or underneath the text entry window, so look for it in both places.
Headlines must be 44-68 characters including spaces.

Yes, she is right. Craft the way the message is expressed to the audience and she’s found a good way to do this. Republicans get this.

“Republicans get this.”
The Republicans haven’t had anything of substance to offer in decades…
It’s easy to create messages that resonate when you have nothing to say that isn’t predicated on lies and deceit.
Republicans have been feeding the American public a steady rhetorical diet of resentment, fear, hatred, and bigotry which is little more than what too many Americans want to hear whether it’s based on fact, truthful, or not…
The Republicans are not better at political messaging.
They’re better at exploitive and dangerous anti-democratic and racist demagoguery…

They are absolutely better at political messaging. It’s just that the messages are dishonest.

False, deceitful, hypocritical, hateful and bigoted political messaging is, by definition, pandering and demagoguery…

In general, the reason the Democratic Party always sounds so helplessly incoherent is because its lawmakers are trying to simultaneously appease their corporate donors and look like they are fulfilling their public promises to fix problems created by those corporate donors.
In most cases, this is impossible. You cannot protect pharmaceutical and fossil fuel industry donors and also reduce the price of medicine and solve the climate crisis. If you try to pretend you can do both, the donors always eventually win out. So you end up talking in circles, complaining accurately about the problems while doing nothing to solve them, and then portraying marginal victories as huge wins to voters who must wonder why their lives aren’t improving.

That’s a good assessment

Ridiculous. Totally ridiculous. Not the idea of speaking to people at the level they can emote with. That’s solid. The idea that the Democrats aren’t doing that is ridiculous. Of course, they are. The practice of labeling programs rather than describing them is done by the media, not by the politicians. Yes, the Democrats are absolutely terrible at media and public relations. The question is why are they so terrible at it, and the answer to that question is that the Democrats think they are right, and therefore think that anyone who doesn’t agree with them is stupid. That attitude comes across very clearly.

Right about now I’d settle for a good measure of Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”.
