Kayleigh McEnany on The Legality of Voting While Black
When she took the position of White House Press Secretary, she lied about “never lying” of her own accord or on behalf of the ‘Liar-in-Chief’…
But then, she lied so much that even Fox News couldn’t take it any more:
Notice the juxtaposition of ‘legal’ v ‘illegal’ re votes cast and votes to be counted….
White supremacist and white nationalist ideology holds that only votes cast by white people are legitimate and legal.
Whether her message is delivered via dog whistle or bugle horn, the intent is quite clear:
The votes of nonwhites should be discounted, disregarded, and discarded as illegitimate and illegal.
All she has really done is reaffirm the salient fact that without the votes of black people, there would be a different electoral outcome.

Anyone who asks a press secretary if they would pledge to never lie is a fool. Any press secretary who pledges not to lie and means it is a fool. The press does not take national security or ongoing investigations or any of that into account when they ask questions because they get money and status from breaking news. It’s not always in the nation’s best interests to answer their questions honestly. If someone had asked Obama’s press secretary a few hours before the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden if we were close to getting him, a press secretary who answered that honestly (if they were in the loop) should be fired immediately.
As to legal vs. illegal votes, that’s mostly a simple question of Democratic votes being illegal and Republican votes being legal. Sure Trump is a racist, but he’s driven primarily by self-preservation.

@Koshersalaami;
It’s one thing to prevaricate and obfuscate for purposes of national security or public safety. However, it is quite another to knowingly and willingly lie gratuitously for the purposes of saving face, personal gain, or to evade and avoid accountability.
The clear target of the remark about the legality of ‘democratic’ votes is/was the mail-in votes coming from traditionally Democratic strongholds in urban areas…Black and brown voters who were encouraged to use mail-in ballots to avoid the consequences of exposure to the COVID virus by standing in line to vote in person…
Trump has been quoted as saying that if the United States switched to all-mail voting, “you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”
I believe she was attempting to rationalize and justify Trump’s posture and position on the matter…

The issue here as far as Trump is concerned is not attempting to ban Democratic voters because they’re Black and Brown but to ban Black and Brown voters because they’re Democratic.

Voter suppression and the practice of gerrymandering had/has been targeted at heavily Democratic precincts and jurisdictions that are predominantly populated by persons of color…
In many respects the term ‘Democrat’ or ‘Democratic’ is and has been dog whistle code for non-white and those who sympathize with non-whites….To put it mildly…

Democrat is more than code for those who are non-White and those who sympathize with non-Whites. Aside from fringe parties, that description is quite accurate; that is who we are. The problem is that they find that perjorative because they think that means “at their expense.” But, as I’ve pointed out in many an economic piece, that’s not exactly how it works. They’re very good at cost benefit analysis without the benefit part and by exaggerating the costs, which I guess means they suck at cost benefit analysis.

No doubt POTUS + crew disregard the future of the Union and ham-handedly plod tally-ho like
with some type of oligarchical premise and/or payback fantasy. The GOP is not-so-subtly ‘ruled’ by carrot and stick. Incredibly the ‘best and brightest’ Secret Service agents (131!?) are afflicted with Corvid-19. Nervous and pensive machinations as well as half-baked ‘dismissal’ of Intelligence Officers is reckless. Who can predict the ramifications of President Trump’s obstinate denial and obstructionism? Transitional transfer of administrative authority ought be
as simple as a game of chess: protocols, rules a winner and a loser.
Golly, “Georgia just flipped to Joe Biden!” Equals three O six for JB an KH!!!
