It’s Official….Take Note!

“Republicans will vote to acquit based on their position that the entire proceeding is unconstitutional which renders the Democrats’ case against Trump to be
incompetent, irrelevant and immaterial or at the very least moot.”

My comment at:

Impeachment Video Case & Summary of Team Trump Legal Defense

“Most Senate Republicans sided with the constitutionality argument in their votes to acquit, allowing them to avoid casting judgment based on Trump’s conduct. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell offered a blistering criticism of Trump’s actions on the Senate floor after the vote, but McConnell said he voted to acquit because he did not believe convicting an ex-president was constitutional.”

It’s official…Take note!

On February 13, 2021, with their impeachment vote to acquit Donald Trump, the Republican party  officially became the party of:

White Supremacy

White Nationalism

Domestic Terrorism

Anti-Democracy

Anti-Semitism

Islamophobia

Anti-Immigration

Minimalism

Nihilism

Authoritarianism

Despotism

Tyranny

Conspiracy Theorism

Violent Far Right Extremism

Outright lies, disingenuous half-truths, and abject hypocrisy

There is no common ground of compromise or accommodation with this party.

There is no middle of the road. There is no ideological center.

There are 74 million followers and supporters of this personality cult which is now masquerading as the Republican Party.

What we must do now is to make these people be as uncomfortable about being labeled and characterized as being ‘Republicans’ as they are supposedly fearful of being called out and identified ‘racists’….

Frankly, I don’t believe that these people give a damn about being called racists…

However, some here believe that they are fearful of the label…

Their racism has deepened and metastasized and become a pillar of the violent extremism which they now choose to refer to as constitutionally protected ‘free speech’.

The acquittal of Trump ensures that this cannot end well for the country and the democracy…

The question that remains for these folks is as follows:

Without accountability, there can be no decency. Without decency, there can be no democracy.
