Leave Trump Alone!
One of the key insights I picked up and developed over the course of my time in and around the various poker rooms I’ve played in is never teach the opposition how to beat you…
In my view, there’s nothing wrong with rooting against Trump re his political fortunes…
However, I wish people would stop trying to tell/show him how to be a better President…
His inability to do better as President is a function of his inability to be better as a human being…
Most of the people who follow and support him need to see and feel that for themselves before they can be dissuaded re any rectitude in voting for him…
While all politics is local, all voting is personal.
Left to his own devices, Trump will eventually succeed in alienating the very people who put him where he is…
His personal attacks against Biden will be seen as disparagement of senior citizens who are a major cohort of the electoral support he received in 2016.
His refusal to adhere to legitimate medical advice re the COVID19 pandemic and lying about the effect and impact of the disease will come back to haunt him as thousands of working class white folks suffer and die due to his incompetence and/or lack of his administration’s response…
The people who switched from Obama to Trump are poised to switch back to Obama’s VP…
Trump is a panicked drowning man flailing in three feet of water because he can’t swim…
Let’s not help him out by telling him that all he needs to do to keep from drowning is stand up…
Let’s leave Trump alone,
so he may succeed at failing
on his own…

Why? The beauty of Trump is that he doesn’t take anyone’s advice who matters. The only advice I’m afraid of his taking is Karl Rove’s.

If he’s paying attention to Rove, Banon, Miller, Conway, Kushner, Graham, & McConnell he’ll have buried himself by Labor Day….
My advice is that Biden and Democratic operatives should simply stay out of his way, stand aside, and let him do it…
He’s on his way to a full on breakdown and implosion….
If anything, Biden and the Dems should be preparing for the aftermath of defeating Trump.
The period between Election Night and Inauguration Day will be filled with Trump vitriol and the transition will be unlike any we’ve ever seen or experienced…

First of all, I love the title. It reminds me of the people making videos about Britney Spears, etc. It is even funnier now than it was regarding Britney.
As for the prospect of Trump’s re-election, I see three possibilities. The first case is that Trump may be defeated. I am reminded of one of my favorite lines from a Todd Snider song “Framed” where he says, “You know how you just know something in your gut that you just gotta trust…well, it’s nothing like that…”
Once upon a time, back in the old country, Donald Trump declared that he would run for the presidency. I was fairly certain that he’d never actually turn in the necessaries to make his run real. Wouldn’t you know it, he did run. Then it got real. I was completely certain that he would never win. This time it wasn’t just up to him. It was up to hundreds of millions of grown-ups to make him the President, and that was never gonna happen. We could be some dumb, but we ain’t plumb dumb. This time, I was almost right. Most people voted for Hillary Clinton. What I did not account for was that the United States, in all of its brilliant design, had a wack-assed clause where an ignorant jackass who did not know what the “nuclear triad” was could be placed where the same nuclear triad was at his disposal. Reason dictates that this would never happen. As it turns out, Reason is a shitty dictator. An ignorant mob overwhelmed Reason and placed the dumbest jackass ever to draw breath in office.
Now Trump has a new set of failures to recommend the alternative. Reason knows it has to sit this one out. Reason has nothing to do with it. The ones who voted for him before could vote for him again because they like the cut now his flab. And in the genius design of the US Constitution, a minority of morons can overrule a majority of the reasonable.
The third possibility is that Trump has a myocardial infarction while molesting a cheese “berder.” This is my favorite option, as long as it happens before Election Day. Otherwise, I hope the Electoral College listens to Reason this time.

What do you think would happen if Trump held a news conference and nobody showed up?

If Trump held a news conference and nobody showed up, Trump would shoot someone on 5th Avenue…while launching nuclear weapons at New Mexico. Then he would create an exfiltration strategy and defect to the number 17. And while he was still on the ballot, he would win a majority of the votes in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Moscow and Beijing.
