Racehorse and Racist Theory?
Trump Rambles About ‘Good Genes’ and ‘Racehorse Theory’ at Minnesota Campaign Rally
“President Trump told supporters at a campaign rally in Minnesota on Saturday that they’re genetically blessed. “You have good genes, you know that, right? You have good genes. A lot of it is about the genes, isn’t it, don’t you believe? The racehorse theory. You think we’re so different? You have good genes in Minnesota.” The “racehorse theory” of genetics holds that some human beings are born genetically superior to others, and Trump has reportedly attributed his success to his genes. It’s unclear who in Trump’s worldview would be seen as having bad genes. A biographer of the president claimed in 2016 that the then-candidate believed he himself had first-class genes and that he subscribed to eugenicist ideas of genetics that those with superior genes should procreate.”

So, here’s the question:
Is the acceptance of Tump assertions and appeals of this nature sufficient to establish that his followers and supporters are racists?

I suppose it would be necessary for his followers to be aware of and endorse his views. At that point, I think it is a short number of steps to determine racism in the adherent.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we get anywhere by providing beyond any doubt that someone is racist. If they answer, ‘so what?’…There is no next step.

@Bitey;
The question isn’t about Trump. It’s about his supporters and followers….
If they answer, “so what”, is there any point in wasting campaign resources on them?
What’s the plan for navigating the post-Trump era with approximately a third of the population fully outed as card-carrying racists and bigots?

Proving that Trump is racist isn’t the problem. That ship has sailed. The question, as Bitey points out, is how many people care that he is.

@Koshersalaami;
I’ve been saying for years that the problem isn’t Trump, it’s his supporters and followers and enablers…
I don’t believe that a legitimate justification can be made for those who continue to follow, support, and enable his overt displays and manifestations of racism…
In my view, his enablers are culpable and complicit and as people who should know and do better, they should be taken to task and held accountable…

I think Bitey’s point is more so how many don’t care that he is.
That’s what I read anyway.

@AWS;
Indifference isn’t ignorance…
With all that has transpired, it is nearly impossible for sentient creatures to claim that they didn’t know that Trump is a racist…
