How does a graduate of both Yale and Harvard, wrapped in the sheepskins of two of the most venerated institutions of higher learning in the country, end up with the self-justified willingness to callously violate the human rights of asylum seeking migrants?
There was a time when such a political ‘stunt’ would render the perpetrators immediately and permanently disqualified from running for and holding public office.
Today, Desantis is openly and publicly seeking and taking credit for his inhumane treatment of migrants seeking refuge from violence and oppression…
Criminal investigation of the action will reveal that federal and state laws were violated and may well result in the criminal prosecution of those responsible for this action including Desantis himself…
If prosecuted and found guilty of criminal offenses, Desantis could be permanently barred from holding public office…
In my view, the people who would applaud and support his reprehensible grab at political notoriety, and news cycle headlines, should be permanently barred from voting….But they won’t….

There is a psychological twist in a great many people demonstrated throughout all of human history to elevate their view of themselves by monstrous cruelty on the helpless. In rapidly approaching times sections of this planet will become uninhabitable and people fleeing these areas require freedom to move to remain alive. The monsters like Trump who delight in power to destroy others are human garbage and now exist everywhere and there are small expectations that our civilization can survive their viciousness.
