Against common political punditry and historical precedent, Michael Moore predicted a Democratic sweep in the midterm elections….
Kosher Salaami seemed to have agreed with him…

My reaction and response:
“Kosher,
I hope you and Michael Moore are right.”
“At a time when America needs the advocacy of a free and independent press, the mainstream media wimps keep reciting the history of the midterm elections as though it were some kind of immutable inevitability.”

Moore called that one. I think he expected a bigger Blue sweep than we got but comparatively speaking we got a Blue sweep. According to Biden, and I have no reason to doubt him, the last time an administration did this well in midterms was during the Kennedy administration.
Two things appear to have been proven by this midterm:
1. The majority of voters in Red states do not want a abortion illegalized. This phenomenon showing up before the election is what Moore was really reacting to.
2. The majority of voters in most Red states do not want their public officials overturning democracy. MAGA took a beating. Fox has turned on Trump, which isn’t a complete shock, but perhaps the most scathing comments on Trump were in the Wall Street Journal.
