A Question About Trump and the The Coronavirus

In the matter of our capacity to protect ourselves against the threat of a pandemic:

Hope this makes you feel better about our chances of coming through this imminent crisis unscathed…

The medical experts say that it is not a matter of ‘if’, but a matter of ‘when’ this existential pandemic  threat reaches us…

When it occurs, Trump & Company will, most assuredly, find something or someone to blame, and then, identify and point their fingers at a convenient scapegoat….

Smart money says they’ll try to blame Obama…

Why not? Trump’s second term hinges on his ability to successfully paint his opponent, whoever that might be, with his racist ‘Obama brush’ and run his campaign as if he were running against Barack Obama…

He and his followers and supporters really don’t care who the Dems nominate, their opponent will be Obama and the Obama Legacy.

As a result of Trump being acquitted by the Senate, it is incumbent on the Democrats to ensure that Trump is convicted in the Court of Public Opinion.

The lack of a competent, or even adequate, response to the threat of a Coronavirus pandemic is additional evidence of the fact that Trump must go…

The role and responsibility of the media comes into sharp focus as it devolves upon the media to take the utmost  care to get it right.

The media’s presentation of the case against Trump must be accurate, clear, concise, and convincing. Nothing less than this will do.

Giving Trump, his minons, and supporters unfettered airtime without commentary as to the accuracy and/or veracity of the utterances, accusations, and assertions is the equivalent of losing sight of the purpose of the constitutional protection of freedom of the press….

So, here’s the question:

If the American media doesn’t get it right in print and on the air, how can the voting public be expected to get it right at the polls?
